My grandfather gave me my very first camera for Christmas when I was eleven. It was one of those terrible 110 cameras but from the moment I picked up my first roll of tiny negatives I was hooked. The quality was sub par but there was something romantic about holding the three by five prints in my hands.

To me photography has always been a way of expressing things I am feeling or dealing with without actually having to say them out loud. My camera is my escape from everyday. The world is out there beyond my lens and it is up to me to capture it and make it into whatever I want. The camera does not lie - it tells my truths.
